Tallahassee Memorial Hospital
TMH or better known as Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) was founded more than 50 years ago. This non profiting hospital offers a comprehensive system of healthcare services to the patients in an affordable rate. It houses a teaching institution with clinic, satellite facilities and family medicine centers in five surrounding counties. Its vision is to be recognized as a world-class community healthcare provider in terms of quality of services and adaptation of latest technology. The hospital has 770 patient beds and attends more than 35,000 patients per year. It is the eighth-largest hospital in Florida with over 500 doctors, representing 35 different specialties, and 31 family practice residents. Mission statement of the hospital says with caring hands and hearts, they honorably “serve the community and maintain positive, collaborative relationships by providing compassionate, leading-edge, patient-centered health care for all”.
Tallahassee Community Hospital: Capital Regional Medical Center formerly known as Tallahassee Community Hospital was established in 1979. It has 180 state-licensed beds for serving residents of North Florida and South Georgia. Staffs at the hospital are compassionate and strengthens the human touch with reflecting their concerns, towards the expectations of the patients. Surgical specialties include a premiere heart surgery program, orthopedic and urological services and neurosurgery. The Emergency Department is equipped with latest technology based ExpressCare service for providing timely treatment to less severe cases. Other specialties and services include Outpatient Services, specialized Intensive Care Units, Radiology, Respiratory Care, Physical Therapy, a Wound Treatment Center, Family Center and a Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber. It also includes Women’s Services with 6 Labor/Delivery Rooms, 9 Operating Rooms and Cardiology Services. The hospital will begin a $100 million replacement of the aging facility on the same site.
